With 3 electrons in its outermost shell, Aluminium bonds accordingly; full configuration [Ne] 3s² 3p¹, electronegativity 1.61. At room temperature it is normally a solid; it melts near 933.47 K (660.3 °C), boils near 2792 K (2518.9 °C), has a density around 2.7 g/cm³.
